Distractions

In the midst of everything going on around me, I am completely drowning. Yet again. Distracted by the world that is around me, trapped in it actually. The biggest leap of faith in my life, and here I am running scared or standing still…Whichever, I stopped trying to tell it apart months ago. I feel utterly alone, even though I never am alone. The words I reluctantly speak to God with, are fading into the darkness. Yet again. Here I am, sitting, waiting, wishing. For what? The questions always come, like the wind, yet they are constantly going unanswered. Where do I begin? How much more do I have to leave behind? I get the feeling of uneasiness, but I dont know how to tame it. Yes, God is good he is so good. This, I know. I am completely aware. Yet again, though I am not reaching for is glorious hands. I stand here, confined with a distorted image. Everything is going unanswered, I just wish I had an answer.

JESUS. The Name above all names. The High King among all high kings. The Lord of lords. The Alpha and the Omega. The Great I Am. The True Light. The Way, the Truth, and the Life. The Darling of Heaven. The Begotten Son of God. Most of all, the One who truly loved you so much, He was definitely willing to hang Himself up on that tree on your behalf. He took the shame. He endured all the pain. He placed upon Himself the dirt, the weight, and the evil of all your sins. He did all that so that you will be accepted in the arms of His Father. He did all that just so your account and your slate will be wiped clean—forever. He did all that so you can get what He, the Pure, Innocent and Perfect Lamb, deserved. He endured all those things so YOU will benefit from them. It’s because He loves you. It’s not just because it is His responsibility as our God to save us from the mess we are in. No. He did that because it was His desire— His one and only desire— to be with us, and to make us enjoy the burning, raging love He has for us. Right now, if you’re still feeling guilty, or you think you deserve what is going on in your life, remember the cross and think again. YOU DESERVE SO MUCH MORE, beloved, because of what He has bought for you. Claim that. Believe Him, and know that He hasn’t changed from the very beginning. He is still irrevocably, crazily, and passionately in love with you.
